A flicker in the dark

an invisible spark

there’s a luminous glow

but nobody can know.

It refuses to ignite

when the time is not right

only when things are not bright

and nothing’s in sight.

You won’t understand

because it’s not your hand

that trembles with heat’s friction

So I’d rather use night vision.
